Babel

The name derives from the Tower of Babel and from reading Borges and Giambattista Vico.

The cycle includes works painted with tar and acrylic colours on canvas glued onto wooden planks. The sizes range from 90cm × 90cm to 40cm × 40cm approximately.

These works represent male and female archetypes, the myths of our civilization and our unconsciousness.

The “Babel” series consists of a body of 90 works of various sizes. Different support structures are used. Some are from paper and others from rusty iron, some are canvas while others have pebble stones, collected from the sea, incorporated.
